The EGCPJV identified habitat priorities based on threats to priority bird species, the importance of each habitat to partner organizations, and how much of each habitat’s total extent is included within the East Gulf Coastal Plain. As a result, we prioritize our work in pine dominant communities, eastern interior grasslands, fresh water wetland communities, upland hardwood and pine-hardwood forests, and coastal communities.
Strategic Plan
In 2022, the Management Board re-evaluated priorities and opportunities to develop the strategic direction for the next five years. In the face of numerous conservation challenges, the EGCPJV’s bird conservation mission continues to be critically important.
