Our Region

The  East Gulf Coast Plain Joint Venture (EGCPJV) is a regional partnership that collaborates to restore and sustain native bird populations and habitats throughout the EGCPJV region. The EGCPJV comprises 6 state wildlife agencies from  Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Louisiana; federal and regional habitat conservation agencies; and other organizations that share our vision. The partnership prioritizes work in pine- dominant communities, eastern interior grasslands, fresh water wetland communities, upland hardwood and pine-hardwood forests, and coastal communities to support the suite of vulnerable birds that depend on them. The EGCPJV is leading coordinated efforts to develop conservation plans and implement fire management strategies to ensure that the partnership can achieve its vision.
